Awards
The awards have been posted, including the award for the Voter’s Choice! Out of all the great submissions I got for this category, I chose a story that was clearly admired by this reader.
Here is Kristin’s write up that won “Any Better Than This” the Voter’s Choice Award!
“While Kristy did a rewrite of So Many Times Before (the prequel to ABTT) and her writing grew immensely during that time, I feel it is showcased best in the ABTT. I have always associated simplicity with Kristy, and in no way do I mean that as a bad thing. She doesn’t feel the need to go into huge monologues or needy and unimportant details. She tells it like it is, and that’s all you need. She does it in an amazing way, and I feel like she really showcased this and her growth in Any Better Than This.
Exhale and Taylor will always be one of my favorite Hanfic couples, and I absolutely adored reading about them as a mature couple. Kristy went above and beyond, and the challenges they faced as a couple were realistic and believable, which made me that much more invested in them as a couple and as people. They’re only characters in a Hanfic, but Kristy’s writing made it feel like so much more than that. They felt like my best friends, and I felt like I was watching the entire story unfold before my eyes. Only a superb and amazing writer can accomplish that, and I feel Kristy is one of those authors and did it with Any Better Than This.”
I was truly amazed with all the wonderful responses a lot of readers – and writers – had to say about others in the hanfic world. There is a lot of admiration and friendship that exists between all members of our little hanfic society, and I hope it’s something that never dies. Hopefully, on that note, we can all admire each other in another season of Chaos Into Art in the near future.
Thanks to all participants, and congratulations to all winners!
Until next time…

WINNNERS!
Isn’t this the fun part about award sites? THE WINNERS ARE ANNOUNCED! Go and check them out! A lot of separations between first and second place were incredibly close, even resulting in a few ties. Congratulations to all winners!!
I’d just like to take a moment to thank everyone for help making the first season of this mini award site a success! I’d definitely be up for another season somewhere in the near future (that’s if I’m creative enough to think of more categories!), and hope you guys feel as enthused about it as I do! =)
The awards will be posted as soon as I get my ass into gear! Hopefully by tomorrow!

Voting Is Closed!
Due to the fact that I’ve only received a couple of votes over the last two days or so, I’ve decided to close voting early. I was pretty impressed with the amount of votes and how well everyone followed the rules!! It made my job a lot easier! I will be posting the winners very shortly, so stay tuned.

Voting Is Still Open!
Over the span of voting there has been a good amount of participation, but I’d love to see more people’s opinions. So far there seems to be some obvious winners, but I don’t think it’s too late to change the outcome! Four different categories are tied in first place! I think if I don’t receive any more votes by the 13th I’m going to declare the winners!
If you haven’t voted yet, nows the time!

Voting Begins!
Just a quick note to let you guys know that voting is officially open! Remember to check out the rules before you do, to make your vote count.
Voting may close earlier than expected if I don’t seem to be receiving many, so make sure you get your vote in on time!! There are tons of great stories nominated, so choose wisely! =D

Nominations End
Nominations are officially closed for the season! I was very overwhelmed by the amount of participation in that stage of the game, and hopefully voting (when it opens on the 1st of July) will be equally as successful! Check out the final list of Nominees for the season!
Again, I had a laugh to myself about the amount of people that filled out the forms without actually considering the rules/categories! I had one form submitted that nominated one story for all the categories bar two! (in which I had to actually go read the story to determine where it actually fit- needless to say it wasn’t in all sections!) If you did nominate a story and don’t see it in the categories you nominated it under, either I’ve deemed it inappropriate, or have accidentally missed you out completely! Please comment if you have a concern.
Voting will start on the 1st as I’ve already mentioned, and won’t be running for very long, so make sure to make yours count! There are a lot of different – and amazing – stories nominated, so choose wisely; you can only vote ONCE!

A Few Days To Go!
For the first time, the list of Nominees has been updated. Honestly, I didn’t know whether to be impressed at the incredibly overwhelming amount of nominations flooding my inbox, or to be unimpressed at the amount of people who decided to ignore the rules! Remember, if the rules are not considered (or just plainly not read, which appears to be the case in most circumstances), the nomination submitted WILL NOT COUNT! I found this quite amusing seeing there are only three rules regarding nominations, which all are actually quite simple to follow. If you read and write hanfic, it is highly probable you will understand my rules. =)
Nominations will close in a few days, so hurry and get your favourite story on the ballad (in an appropriate category, of course!). I’m glad to have noticed stories I’ve never even heard of before making their way out of the woodwork, and I’m hoping that you can continue to provide me with new reading material! Try and fill the categories for a more interesting season!
Thanks to all those people who’ve been doing some fabulous plugging via their websites! The best type of award season is one where everyone gets involved, and seeing such participation excites me! I’ll be back in a few days with the final list of nominees. =D

Grand Opening!
Hello and welcome to the very first season of Chaos Into Art; a hanfic award site specifically designed to target hanfics for their unique qualities. It’s my first adventure into something slightly exciting involving hanfic besides writing, and I hope it proves to be equally as exciting for all participants! =) Award seasons always make me giddy!
Feel free to surf around – read the RULES – and nominate the stories you feel fit best into the twelve categories. The hanfic world is your oyster; the only limitation on nominating is that you abide to the description of the category. There are thousands of works online which deserve praising, so make sure your favourite of these is on the ballad!
Thanks a whole heap to Brittney, a warm and friendly host who welcomed me with open arms. Love also goes to Hayley who kindly assisted with a mass of coding.
The dates that appear in the sidebar are only rough approximations. If nominations stop coming, I will give twelve to twenty four hours notice before I close them. Same goes with voting. This award season (if all goes to plan) will be quick and simple- and hopefully enjoyable!
If you have any questions, feel free to comment. But if not, LET THE NOMINATING BEGIN!! =D
